A 4 day workshop on Mediation and Principles of Domestic & International Arbitration is being conducted by ILS Centre for Arbitration (ILSCA) in association with Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution Team (PACT). This workshop is conducted to provide participants with core mediation skills and hands-on experience through different simulations.

The first 2 days of the workshop will dwell in training in Arbitration and its core skills while the next 2 days will be for Mediation training sessions. Read the Schedule of the workshop.

The Science Research Contest 2017 aims at bringing young researchers from the states of Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat & Karnataka to exhibit their research projects, ideas and to promote interest among them.

A research project from any subject related to the field of science and technology can be taken up as a group activity with more than 1 participant but not exceeding 3. Eligibility:

The 5th ILS Alternate Judgment Writing Competition 2017-18 is organized by the Centre for Public Law, ILS Law College, Pune. The judgment for this competition is Karan Dileep Nevatia vs. Union of India 2010(112)BomLR127, 2010(1)BomCR588”. This alternate judgement enables the participants to rethink the earlier judgments of Supreme Court & High Court, sharpen the research & writing skills while reimagining the reasonings underlying the case. The competition has 2 segments which includes submission of written drafts and oral submissions.

First Round – the alternate judgment should be drafted while entertaining Special Leave Petition under Article 136 by the Supreme Court under 3500 words and a cover page bearing your name and your institution’s. Examiners will shortlist 5 entries for oral presentation.

Second Round – At ILS Law College, Pune, shortlisted students will make oral presentations of their drafts within the allotted 20 minutes and 10 mins shall be reserved for Q&A on 5th February, 2018.

Eligibility:

  • Students from any Law College or Law University can send in entries.
  • Co-authorship is not allowed.
  • There is no restriction on the number of entries from any college or university.
